Our solutions

Micro-cut and cover (road)

Our company uses micro-cut technology for laying underground utilities that is less invasive than traditional methods. A specially designed cutting disc makes a smaller cut on the road surface with a cutting width of 2.5 cm and a total depth of 35 cm. This system enables the medium to be placed 20 cm below the excavation surface and, thanks to an innovative bitumen resin-based backfill compound, does not require resurfacing with conventional asphalt. The innovative micro-cut excavation technique is used by Open Fiber and Tim for the wiring of underground FTTH systems.

Dielectric cable

For overhead line installations, New Font has introduced an innovative, fully dielectric cable system with high resistance to ultraviolet rays. Using aramid filaments in the construction of the cable makes it extremely lightweight and as a result, much easier to lay. At the same time the high breaking load permits the construction of telecommunication cable spans measuring up to 60 metres. The reduced visual impact also makes it suitable for use on facades of buildings and stone or brick walls. Deployed in combination with the spiral cable support system allows the installation of up to five 288 fibre-optic cables. It is used by Open Fiber and Tim for the overhead cabling of the FTTH network.

MaxCell sleeve®

The MaxCell® sleeve, which is distributed by New Font is the only flexible fabric system for underfilling cable laying conduits. Specifically designed for creating networks, it helps expand the capacity of cable laying infrastructures, while preserving space for future optical network expansions. The exclusive fabric design adapts perfectly to the cables inserted inside. This system is normally used when there is congestion in an existing conduit. It allows the network to be implemented in such a way as to reduce the need for additional conduits, reducing overall project costs as a result.

5G Totem

This is a smart, innovative, technological and multifunctional infrastructure designed to support and distribute the next generation of data, voice and IoT networks, moving towards a more affordable and above all, sustainable future. The new Totem infrastructure features highly efficient mono PERC solar panels and an innovative hybrid inverter with three-way solar energy management. This innovation allows greater energy production and, thanks to the complete freedom of omnidirectional installation, facilitates the installation work as well as radio signal diffusion. Totem technology offers solutions for modernising existing infrastructures as well as building new 4G/5G and WiFi networks with expanded connectivity to any area with poor coverage. Thanks to its cost-effectiveness and large-scale ease of use, it has the potential to be an important element in the creation of smart cities.

Figure-8

The Figure-8 standard overhead conduit is designed to protect optical micro-cables in the construction of overhead infrastructure. The design features an element consisting of a dielectric in polyester resin that is reinforced with glass fibre and a very high resistance coating (EHS). The micro-tubes section is made from HDPE polyethylene with a high-slip Silicore inner surface. The sheath is carbon black with antioxidants for maximum protection from UV rays. It can be fitted using standard overhead installation methods. Fully dielectric as per European regulations. Installation is carried out using ACOF810 mooring and SC711 suspension

Encloser junction

The New Font junction box for OPGW guard wires represents an innovative technology for overhead line connections on power lines and high-voltage pylons. Completely made of steel, it complies with technical specification LIN_000C3922. Its innovative opening/closing system allows easy access without the need for tools, guaranteeing an IP68 degree of protection. The muffle can be configured to cover all types of installations EXTREME, LINE, ISOLATED EXTREME. Available in a 4/6 entry-hole configuration, it allows the management of up to 144 FO with guided and protected fibers, guaranteeing compliance with minimum bending radii. Designed primarily for installation on trusses, it can also be placed on poles or walls with the use of appropriate support brackets. Original equipment junction boards can be configured as required to ensure installation of mechanical splitter joints, etc. This muffle represents a reliable, high-level solution for power transmission operators to optimize the efficiency and reliability of their operations.
